Lived Lives was founded from lived experience — not just theory. As someone who has journeyed through trauma, addiction and other challenges, I’ve witnessed the barriers people face when trying to rebuild their lives. I have also seen the power of understanding, guidance and space where you feel heard and held. A space without judgement — just presence and the impact of people who see your potential, even when all you can see are problems.
Lived Lives was created to offer something different: real connection, honest conversations, and support shaped by those who’ve been there. What started as a personal vision has grown into a CIC offering peer-led, trauma-informed programmes, lived experience training for frontline staff, and motivational speaking that gives voice to people too often unheard.
This project is built on truth, trust, and the belief that no life is beyond change. We don’t just talk about transformation — we live it.
Having also worked in support services for many years — in roles such as Project lead, support, family and recovery worker, psychotherapist, and trainer — I’ve experienced both sides of the coin. I understand what it’s like to be the person reaching out for help, and also the one offering it. That dual perspective is at the heart of Lived Lives: bridging the gap between systems and real stories, and creating services that are grounded, relational, and truly trauma-informed.
The idea for Lived Lives came from wanting to use those hard-earned lessons to offer something different. Not just services — but connection, credibility, and community. Still in its infancy Lived Lives aims to be a platform for peer-led, trauma-informed programmes and lived experience, tailored training for frontline staff, and motivational speaking that brings the inside stories to light.
This isn’t a project built from just theory — it’s built from real lives, real voices, and the conviction that change is possible, even against the toughest odds.”
